Islamabad, Feb 11: Peshawar Zalmi’s regional anthem is ready to cause a sensation before Pakistan Super League (PSL)-8-2023 as the teaser of Peshawar Zalmi’s regional anthem has been released. Peshawar Zalmi Regional Anthem is produced by Jam Boys with Junaid Kamran Siddique and Arsalan Shah of Jam Boys singing the anthem. The Regional Anthem written by Wijdan Khattak and Laikzada Laik. Major earth quake kills hundreds across Turkey, Syria

Islamabad, Feb 6: A 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit Turkey and Syria early on Monday, killing hundreds of people as they slept, levelling buildings and sending tremors that were felt as far away as the island of Cyprus, Egypt and Iraq. One of the largest quakes to strike Turkey in a century wiped out entire sections of major cities in a region filled with millions of people who have fled the civil war in Syria and other conflicts. The quake struck at 04:17 am local time (0117 GMT) at a depth of about 17.9 kilometres (11 miles) near the Turkish city of Gaziantep, which is home to around two million people, the US Geological Survey said.  Iftihar Ahmed smashed 6 sixes Islamabad, Feb 5: Pakistan star batsman Iftihar Ahmed has smashed 6 sixes in an over in a PSL exhibition match between Quetta gladiator and Peshawar Zulmi held Bughti Stadium in Quetta.  Quetta Gladiators defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 3 runs in the this match. Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam won the toss and invited Quetta Gladiators to bat first. Quetta Gladiators scored 184 runs in 20 overs while playing first. Iftikhar Ahmed scored 94 runs off 50 balls while playing an aggressive innings, he also hit Wahab Riaz for 6 sixes off 6 balls in one over, besides Khushdil Shah scored 36 runs and Bengalzai 28 runs, Peshawar Wahab of Zalmi took 3 wickets. Peshawar Zalmi failed to achieve the target of 185 runs and the whole team managed to score 181 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs, captain Babar Azam scored 23 runs and Shahid Afridi got out scoring 25 runs, Mohammad Haris scored 53 runs.

Pink Bus Karachi: A much needed initiative for women empowerment

ISLAMABAD, Feb 2: Sindh government has introduced the Pakistan first ever women-only bus service in Karachi on February 1 with the slogan of Women Empowerment. The Pink bus service is a much-needed solution to the problems associated with safe and secure transportation for women in Karachi city. The Sindh Information and Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon had announced that Pink Bus Service would remain free for 7 days, i.e. Till February 7. As per detail, initially eight buses have been introduced so far that would operate on a single route from Model Colony, Malir to Tower via Sharea Faisal from 7am till 10pm.  During peak hours in the morning and evening, the dedicated bus service will operate every 20 minutes and every hour during the rest of the day.  It will offer best facilitate to the college and university students and office-going women, as the fare is only Rs50.  The initiative is commendable, and will bring confidence within the working women with ease in traveling.
