Ice hockey in Hunza, Pakistan

The 05-day winter festival 2022 is happening in Altit. A large number of athletes are competing in Ice Hockey, Snowboarding and Skating. This most important winter sports events in GB is National Ice Hockey. Ice Skating Championship 2022, which started on the 18th of January in Ghulkin valley of Gojal, Hunza. The event is scheduled from the 18th of January till the 23rd of January, 2022. The Altit event is a starting point of winter games in GB, which will reach its zenith with the Ghulkin Gala. GB Winter Sports Association is collaborating with Pakistan Winter Sports Federation to conduct the event where 16 teams of men and 8 teams of women will participate.  Teams of the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force, GB Scouts, KPK, Chitral and many local teams, primarily from Hunza, Gilgit, Ghizer, and Nagar will be participating in the gala. Ice Skit Polo, Ice Hockey, Ice Curling and other games are scheduled to be played in the 6-day long event.

Ban on import of luxury items in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, May 19:Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday said his decision to ban the import of luxury items will save the country’s precious foreign exchange. The prime minister in a tweet posted on his social media account said that as they would practice austerity, the financially stronger people must lead in the effort so that the less privileged among them did not have to bear the burden inflicted on them by the PTI government.
