Death toll reached 51 as more bodies recovered from Tanda Dam

Kohat (APP) - 21 more bodies that drowned in Kohat's Tanda Dam have been recovered. The number of students killed in the boat capsizing accident has reached 51.

According to the detail, the search and rescue operation to find the children who drowned in the lake after the boat overturned in Kohat's Tanda Dam on Sunday continues for the third day.

During the operation today, the bodies of 21 students who drowned in the lake were recovered and shifted to the hospital.

After the bodies recovered today, the number of people killed in the boat capsizing incident has reached fifty-one.

Rescue boats and expert divers are taking part in the search and rescue operation at Tanda Dam.

Deputy Commissioner Kohat said that five students have been rescued during the operation. All resources are being used to find the missing children.

The 05-day winter festival 2022 is happening in Altit. A large number of athletes are competing in Ice Hockey, Snowboarding and Skating.
