59 wheat sale points set-up in Multan


MULTAN, Jan 10: Local authorities set up 59 wheat sale points here on Tuesday to supply the commodity to the public at reasonable rates.

Special checking teams headed by Assistant Commissioners were formed to monitor smooth supply to consumers from all points, according to a press release issued.

According to Deputy Commissioner Tahir Vito, about 34,000 bags of flour are being distributed here daily.

He said that apart from Multan city, two cell points have been set up in Tehsil Shujaabad, one in Tehsil Jalalpur Pirwala and eleven in Tehsil Sadar.

He said that about 24000 bags of flour are being supplied daily in the central markets of the city.

He rejected the shortage of flour and added that the government has more than its required stock available.

Sialkot business community has transfered $100,000 to account of Priyantha Kumara’s widow .   Alongwith this accumulative amount, a monthly salary of $2000 will be transfer to her account by the Rajco Industries, which they will do for 10 yrs (years). CTP completes traffic arrangements for long march

Traffic scenario in Rawalpindi for Imran Khan long march  RAWALPINDI, May 24: City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi has completed all the arrangements to maintain smooth flow of traffic amid long march call declared by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). According to the police spokesman, during the long march, more than 462 personnel would be on duty for the convenience of the citizens.  Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Naveed Irshad said additional personnel have been deployed on all major highways including Peshawar Road, Mall Road and Murree Road.  He informed that the traffic would be diverted from diversion points to alternate routes whereas additional duties have also been assigned on diversion points and alternate routes.  "There will be traffic police deployed at all points to maintain the flow of traffic," he added.
