Agri appliances & machinery on subsidized rates|PM Agri Emergency Programme|procedure

Feb 9: The agriculture department has invited applications from rice growers for providing them agri appliances and machinery on subsidized rates under Prime Minister (PM) Agri Emergency Programme. 

In this program, male and female farmers belonging to Faisalabad, Jhang, Chiniot, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Mandi 

Bahauddin, Narowal, Hafizabad, Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Bahawal Nagar and Okara were eligible for applying agri machinery. 

Rice growers have to submit their applications up to February 20, 2022 and they would be provided rice machinery after balloting. 

Application forms will be obtained from the offices of Assistant Director, Deputy Director and Divisional Director agriculture (extension).

while the same could also be downloaded from website www.agripunjab.gov.pk and its photocopy would also be acceptable. 

After balloting, successful farmers would be provided various kinds of agri appliances and gadgets 

including Riding Type Rice Transplanter and Nursery Raising Machine (Stationary or Crawler Type) with Plastic Trays, Walk after Riding Type Rice Transplanter, Direct Seeding Rice Drill, Rotavator (Water Tight), Disc Plow / Raja Plough and Power Sprayer.

Moreover, successful candidates much confirm booking of their machinery within 15 days after balloting. 

In this regard, more information can be obtained from the offices of Deputy Director or Divisional Director Agriculture (Extensive) Department during office timing.

Islamabad police launches WhatsApp number for citizens

Feb 16: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) police Wednesday launched WhatsApp number, enabling citizens direct access to police related services on smart phones. The citizens will receive all information about police services after getting themselves registered by sending a simple message on WhatsApp number 03342874287, 033ICTP  ICTP. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Muhammad Ahsan Younus, in his video message termed the step towards modern policing in the federal capital. IGP said the citizens through WhatsApp could get services in both English and Urdu languages.
