Above 18 years can get booster dose now.

ISLAMABAD, Jan 20: Majority of omicron cases are reported in Karachi, followed by Lahore and Islamabad. Compliance of SOPs, wearing a mask and vaccination are the most effective ways to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic's 5th wave.

People should need to change their social behavior towards vaccination drives as mostly  people are not yet paying heed to virus seriously.

As per government, now people above 18 years can also get their booster dose from any vaccination centre across Pakistan and this vaccination will be administered free of cost.

SAPM on Health said that omicron variant of COVID-19 is dangerous for those who have not been vaccinated against the disease and positivity ratio had jumped high but the situation was under control in hospitals.

SAPM said over 0.8 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine had been administered in Pakistan on daily basis and the campaign would be further sped up.

he said NCOC directed provinces to ensure that district administrations should play an effective role in the enforcement of SOPs and take strict actions against violators.

He said that more than 51%  people above 12 years living in county are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Faisal urged people to wear masks at all times and avoid crowded places. Meanwhile, smart lockdowns will be imposed in areas where the infection rate is high.

Payments to new beneficiaries of `Sasta Petrol Scheme’ will begin from July 4

ISLAMABAD, Jun 30:The process of payments of Rs. 2000 for the new eligible beneficiaries applied for the “Sasta Petrol/Sasta Diesel” scheme of the government through sending SMS to the 786 will start from July 4. According to the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Pakistan, the eligible beneficiaries of the scheme who registered through 786 will start getting their payment of Rs. 2000. However, the existing beneficiaries of Benazir Kafalat program are already receiving their payments of Rs. 2000 from the designated banks. Till Wednesday, out of eight million registered families of Benazir Kafalat program, Rs. 6.67 billion has been disbursed among 3,339,000 families.
