Kharian Rawalpindi Motorway|updates|ECNEC|


ECNEC have given the final approval to Kharian Rawalpindi Motorway as well, a project to be built under public-private partnership. Rs 96 billion project will be completed in 30 months

It will be a game changer infrastructure project that will ensure efficient transportation of goods & services in the region.

Detail of Projects Approved by Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) today: 

1) 535 KM highways in Punjab
    Cost = Rs 130B 

2) Kharian - Rawalpindi Motorway
     Cost = Rs 96B

3) K4 Karachi (drinking water)
     Cost = Rs 126B

4) Clean Water & Sanitation Projects in 16 Tehsils of South Punjab
     Cost = Rs96B

The construction work on Sialkot (Sambrial)-Kharian Motorway  of Rs 43.3 Billion for 69 Km is underway.  

The Sialkot to Kharian project envisages construction of 69km 4-lane Motorway with structures to be constructed for 6 lanes.

Now after the approval from ECNEC It will be extended to Rawalpindi (115 Km).
